Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Sabine, in this tragic story, gets away from life with her alcoholic father by dropping out of school and moving in with her boyfriend. She is pregnant, and quite young, and the childbirth she endures is quite painful. Afterwards, she gets hooked on heroin and takes her boy child to live with her mother-in-law so that she can earn money for drugs through prostitution. A number of sordid tragedies wake her up enough to make her find out that she has AIDS, and she musters the courage to visit her four-year old son before she dies.
