Famed Russian cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich joins forces with iconic tenor Placido Domingo to offer a varied and unforgettable performance captured live on camera at the Roman amphitheater in Merida, Spain and featuring the musical talents of the Kriov Theater Orchestra. With performances of works by Tchaikovski and Haydn in addition to a special appearance by soprano Olga Borodina, Rostropovich and Domingo fill the open-air theater with the soothing sounds of classical music before winding down with a moving cello and voice duet originally composed by Massenet.
