Rose Labell (Madlaine Traverse) is married to cruel, brutal miner Pierre (Frank Leigh). When he turns up missing and is given up for lost, she has a romance with Bruce Knight (Thomas Santschi), a member of the Northwest Mounted Police. But on their wedding day, Pierre reappears, smashing their plans. He has struck it rich and, in order to obtain title to the land on which he made his money, he tries to marry his daughter Angela (Beatrice La Plante) off to the owner. Rose refuses to allow this to happen, and later the owner is found murdered. Rose is suspected of the crime, but a trapper, Jules (Jack Nelson) who was secretly in love with Angela admits that he is the killer -- and, on top of that, he also has murdered Pierre. This leaves Rose and Knight free to resume their wedding plans.
