Another of artist Michel Auder's video-diary records of objects, persons, and places, Roman Variations presents a loosely edited compendium of anything Auder found of interest during his stay in Rome in the late '80s. Residing at a studio provided by Barbara Gladstone, Auder shoots scenes outside his window, television ads, cars, architecture, and sculpture, all set to pop music he heard while in the city.
