Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Real-life rodeo champ Yakima Canutt does some fine ridin' and ropin' in this silent western about a cowboy who is falsely accused of murdering his sweetheart's father. Steve Carlson (Canutt) escapes from prison and takes a job as a ranch hand. In order to help his family through a devastating drought, he enters a rodeo championship, wins the big prize and manages to clear his name in the process. This was but one of a series of low-budget westerns Canutt did for shoestring producer Arrow in the early to mid-1920s. Never much of a cowboy hero, Canutt became the undisputed king of the Hollywood stuntmen, earning an honorary Academy Award in 1966 for his contributions to the profession.
