Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Busy Western director John De Lacey took a breather from helming Tom Tyler oaters with this Northwest Mounted Police melodrama starring Patsy Ruth Miller as a young girl searching for the gang of fur pirates who killed her father. When Canadian police sergeant Charles Byer arrives with the suspected murderer, Harry Woods, the latter smooth-talks Miller into accompanying him to the gang's hideout. The bait is the girl's kidnapped brother (Rex Lease) but all plans to ravish poor Miller are foiled by the arrival of Sgt. Byer. Lease and the villain are killed in the ensuing melee, leaving Miller and Byer with nothing else to do but marry. A fine actress when given half the chance (such as playing Esmeralda in Lon Chaney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923)), Patsy Ruth Miller was more often than not wasted in claptrap such as Red Riders of Courage. Her career all but destroyed at the advent of sound, Miller came back strong with a well-written 1988 autobiography, My Hollywood -- When Both of Us Were Young.
