Monte Blue and Patsy Ruth Miller star in this snappy farce. While out on a drive, society man Al Jones (Blue) spies pretty Betty Loweden (Miller), and it causes him to lose control of his car, which collides with a steamroller. As a result, Jones loses his nerve and he takes to riding horses instead of cars. This doesn't help much, since Betty, who has a penchant for speed, causes him to fall off the horse. Betty's father (Fred Esmelton) is the chief of police and he is determined to cure her of her wild ways, so he puts her in jail. Jones, ever-faithful, demands to be put behind bars himself, and is, only to discover that Betty has already gotten out. Once he is able to get out himself (which he does only with a lot of difficulty), he gets his nerve back because Betty has been kidnapped by crooks. His fear of cars gone, he leaps in an auto and gives chase. He finds their lair and bravely thrashes them all, which wins Betty's heart.
