Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Like many another Roy Stewart western of the period, The Red Haired Cupid was inspired by the "Red Saunders" stories by Henry Wallace Phillips. On this occasion, cowpoke William "Red" Saunders (Stewart) tries to smooth the path of romance for his pal Kyle (Charles Dorian) and Kyle's Eastern sweetheart Loys Andres (Peggy Pearce). To this end, Saunders arranges a sharpshooting match between Kyle and ace gunslinger "Squint Eye" Lucas (Aaron Edwards). With a little six-gun intervention of his own, Red helps Kyle win the match -- and the girl. It wasn't much, but audiences left the theater with satisfied grins on their faces.
