The founder of a respected Indian news network is thrust reluctantly into the spotlight when his top reporter uncovers the shocking truth about his rise to power. When it comes to reporting the news, Vijay Harshvardhan Malik (Amitabh Bachchan) values honesty above all else. His private news channel is viewed by the masses as one of the last bastions of respectable journalism. Amrish Kakkar (Mohnish Bahl), on the other hand, never saw a headline he couldn't spice up. As Vijay's son Malik works to make his father's business profitable, rising journalist Purab (Ritesh Deshmukh) makes a scandalous discovery while researching the man known for putting the facts first.
