Synopsis by Josh Ralske

Brian (Gale Harold) turns 30, and is very unhappy about it. At his surprise party/wake, he tells the gang that the job in New York fell through. Michael (Hal Sparks) has decided to go to Portland with David (Chris Potter), but he's annoyed when David makes every decision about the move without consulting him. Ted (Scott Lowell) shows up at Melanie's (Michelle Clunie) office to take Blake (Dean Armstrong) to lunch, and is surprised to learn that Blake didn't show up for work, and it wasn't the first time. Ted tries to confront Blake about it at home later, but Blake distracts him with sex. That night at Babylon, Emmett (Peter Paige) gets emotional about Michael's impending departure, and decides to throw a flannel-themed going away party. Justin (Randy Harrison) invites the depressed Brian to his prom, and gets turned down. The next morning, Emmett suggests that Ted send Blake to a detox center. Justin and Daphne (Makyla Smith) decide to go to the prom together, as friends. Lindsay (Thea Gill) tries to convince Brian that turning 30 isn't the same as dying. There are tears at Michael's going away party, where Ted confronts Blake about his continued drug use. Michael and David argue about David's controlling ways, and when Michael learns that David booked an earlier flight to Portland without telling him, he decides not to go with him. Brian's not at the party, because he's too busy getting stoned and engaging in some dangerous autoerotic asphyxiation. Blake agrees to go into detox. Justin gets a couple of surprises at the prom -- one magical and one tragic.
