This Mary Miles Minter starrer was based on Extra! Extra!, a story by Will M. Ritchey. The breathtakingly beautiful Minter stars as the daughter of a powerful newspaper publisher. Upon her father's retirement, the girl takes charge of the paper, immediately taking on the crooked political machine which forced her dad to give up journalism. Aided and abetted by ace reporter Allan Forrest, the plucky heroine purges the city of its criminal element. Director Henry King later reported that he enjoyed working with Mary Miles Minter, though some critics reported it was quite a trial to coax a believable performance from her.
