A leader in the field of sculpture, Eduardo Chillida worked in all mediums while constantly re-evaluating his relationship to the material. Portrait of an Artist: Eduardo Chillida - Basque Sculptor documents the life and creations of this important Spanish artist. Chillida is one of the most respected sculptors of the Basque province. The mid-'50s saw his rise to prominence with a stint in both Paris and Madrid. Moving from terra cotta to iron to wood, Chillida explored the nature of dimension on all levels. Portrait of an Artist takes the viewer to the picturesque province to examine the facets of Chillida's work.
