Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Everyone in Penskeegee wants to be popular, and as the town's 25th Annual POP-U-larity singing contest approaches, the community's most talented residents prepare for their big shot at superstardom. As returning champion Katrina Whitman and her flamboyantly gay assistant Sebastian perfect a routine that will stun the crowd, singing cowboy Charlene Hornsby works on a new song with some help from musical therapist Celeste, whose new age approach yields fascinating results. But they're going to have a tough time competing against taboo-shattering performance artist Darque and his mother Marcia, who are collaborating on a routine that's sure to leave the judges speechless. While this year's winner remains to be seen, one thing is for sure - Penskeegee is a town with true talent.
