Synopsis by Janiss Garza

After their wedding, Muriel Ashley (Viola Dana) and Ferdy Walton (Antrim Short) cheerfully head off on their honeymoon. But Muriel's parents (Margaret Campbell and Harry Todd) discover that the parson who married them (Ralph Bell) is actually a burglar, so they panic and take superhuman efforts to make sure that the marriage isn't consummated. This leads to all sorts of complications, and finally the hotel in which the young couple are staying winds up in flames. After a harrowing night, it is discovered that the minister is real after all -- amnesia had caused him to wander through a strange house. This farce was based on a stage play by James Cullen and Lewis Allen Browne. Another play with a similar plot formed the basis for another film released about this time, Why Smith Left Home, a vehicle for star Bryant Washburn.
