Declaring her independence, Billie Jo (Gunilla Hutton) moves out of the Shady Rest and away from Hooterville, relocating in the "faraway" community of Pixley. Unfortunately, Billie's new apartment, and her landlady (Minerva Urecal), turn out to be horrors. So now Billie must find a way to get back in the good graces of her mother Kate (Bea Benaderet without humiliating herself. (Ironically, Gunilla Hutton, the second of the three actresses cast as Billie Jo Bradley, would soon exit Petticoat Junction after only a single season).
