Produced in the London suburb of Surbiton, this polite British comedy starred Ena Beaumont in the title-role, an "old maid" who cons the wealthy Lord Peter Bowen (Lawrence Leyton) into posing as her fiance. Do they fall in love for real? Of course they do! Miss Beaumont also starred in "Our Girls and Their Physique," a series of "health and beauty" shorts, all produced by the short-lived Garrick Company, in which she had a financial interest.
