Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This drama, which was produced by Madame Olga Petrova's own company, was based on the novel Patience Sparhawk and Her Times by Gertrude Atherton. Petrova plays Patience, the daughter of a newly widowed man. Sparhawk moves himself and his daughter out West to a mining town. He marries a dancehall woman (Norma Seifert) who is determined to see Patience follow in her footsteps. After her father dies, she escapes from her stepmother's world and heads East, taking the advice of lawyer Garon Bourke (Rockcliffe Fellowes), who she met when he came West on a hunting trip. In New York, she marries Beverly Peale (Vernon Steele), mainly out of gratitude to his aunt. Patience's life takes a desperate turn when they have a fight and he is found poisoned. She is put on trial for murder and even though Bourke comes to her aid, she is sentenced to die. It turns out that a jealous girl perjured herself during the trial, and Patience is released at the last minute. She and Bourke are united.
