The night of February 22, 1985, brought a wide array of jazz artists to New York's Town Hall. The occasion was a celebration for the Blue Note record label. Blue Note has long set the standard in recording the great names of jazz, from Miles Davis to John Coltrane. This program presents a star-studded cast at the Town Hall, there to pay homage to the studio. The performance includes contributions from Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, McCoy Tyner, Stanley Jordan, Grover Washington Jr., Kenny Burrell, Lou Donaldson, and Cecil McBee.
