This conventional drama unwinds a complex story of deception and betrayal that involves a sleazy government minister, his dying former lover, and his unwanted child. The fatally ill woman adopted a little girl fathered by the minister and now the child is six years old. The adoptive mother was also one of the minister's mistresses, and many years ago she had to abort his child at his request. Now that she is dying she wants the gentle grandfather of the six-year-old girl (the minister's father) to raise her as his own. The only problem is that the grandfather has no idea that he has any grandchildren, let alone that his son is a lecherous scoundrel. And there is no way that the son wants his father to know about his scandalous behavior.
