A young boy (Johnny Harron) defends his mother against his violently abusive stepfather (Noah Beery) in this tragic melodrama. The focus of the film is the cruelty of the man who takes pride in the fact his wife and stepson consider him insane. Ethel Grey Terry, ZaSu Pitts, and Russell Simpson co-star with memorable screen-villain Beery.
