Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Pavlos Paraschakis directed this typically Greek tale of mistaken identity in a class-conscious society. This time, Tassos Yiannopoulos is the intelligent young man from the provinces who comes to Athens. He only has two chickens with him, and is trying to hit up his wealthy and snobbish relative (Nikos Stavridis) for some money he promised his sister's fiancee as a dowry. He is mistaken for the family's other nephew -- a wealthy young man due to visit from America -- so they take him in and treat him like gold. Things start to get even more interesting when the real rich nephew (Yiorgos Economidis) shows up, only to get snubbed because the family assumes that he is the poor one from the provinces. No surprises here, but the familiar tale is handled with warmth and humor. Mimis Fotopoulos co-stars with Lisa Alexiou and Antonis Papadopoulos.
