synopsis
The surreal lives of the townspeople of remote Cicely, Alaska served as the focus of the 1990-1995 television series Northern Exposure. Told in flashback, this episode recounts the town's founding by a pair of liberal women who are looking to establish a utopian society and who bring a bit of culture to the frontier town.
