Near the Trail's End (1931)
by Hans J. Wollstein review

While no earth shaker, Near the Trail's End remains a pleasant little low-budget Western, early talkie style, which to veterans of the genre means little or no background music, carefully spoken dialogue, silent speed chases, and wild donnybrooks. Bob Steele, happily, was one of the better B-Western heroes of the early sound era and Near the Trail's End also benefits from a good supporting cast that includes the always welcome Hooper Atchley as the villain and oldtimer Si Jenks as the comic sidekick.
