synopsis
Marathi film director Narayanrao D. Sarpotdar makes his one and only attempt in Tamil cinema with this mythological fantasy. The film retells the popular myths surrounding the birth and childhood of Krishna (T.R. Mahlingam), climaxing with his watery conflict with the evil King Kansa, in which he saves a community from a deluge by lifting a mountain over the town. This film features the debut of famed musician and actor Mahlingam. Originally, both Hindi and Marathi versions of this film were planned but funding fell through.
