Gerard (Raymond van het Groenewoud) is a thirtysomething owner of an antique shop who would like to be a novelist, if he could only just sit down and start writing. Like others much younger than he, Gerard blames his parents for his failure and not even his beloved sister or a former mistress can change his downbeat mood.
