Francis Brett Young's Edwardian romance novel comes to the screen in this five-part mini-series starring Academy Award-winner Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln). The Dakers are an English family from the Black Country. Handsome, athletic, and quick-witted, youngest sibling Harold is favored by his parents as his older brother Jonathan (Day-Lewis) longs to receive the same support and affection. Despite their differences, however, Harold and Jonathan forge a powerful brotherly bond. Unfortunately, their relationship is doomed to end in a tragedy that will test the fortitude of the entire family.
