Mussolini: Rise and Fall of a Dictator chronicles Benito Mussolini's rapid climb to power as leader of Italy's Fascist Party. The brutal dictator held Italy in his power between 1922 and 1943. Through terrorization, strong-arm tactics, and the power of persuasion, he attempted to create an Italian empire in alliance with Hitler's Germany. This in-depth documentary contains authentic footage from Mussolini's reign and reveals new information about his relationship with his mistress and his relationship with his father. From his seizure of power to the defeat of his aspirations and eventual downfall, this film recounts the dictator's violent history.
