Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This film is the seventh of a ten-part series that celebrates the bohemian life at Montparnasse in Paris from the 1890s through World War II. Montparnasse, with its crumbling buildings, cheap rent, and many cafes drew artists, writers, and musicians from all over the world. Part of the art scene was the Bal Masque, where those living on the cutting edge explored the outer limits of society. British actress Diana Rigg reflects on this heyday of bohemian life in Paris.
