Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Most of Mlle. Paulette takes place at a resort hotel in the Adirondacks. Hero Wallace MacDonald and heroine Claire Anderson would like to marry, but her parents disapprove. The course of true love is helped along by the mysterious "Mademoiselle Paulette," a vaudeville star whose actual identity takes everyone by surprise. Much of the comedy is generated by a harmless old crackpot who takes it upon himself to act as a one-man post office. The critic for the trade magazine Variety was impressed by the fact that the hero and heroine never exchanged a kiss in the course of the film, but that was just about all that impressed this particular observer.
