synopsis
This documentary recalls the April 4, 1968, assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Memphis, as well as the events that preceded and followed it. The documentary features footage that originally aired in 1968 and audiotapes of police calls from the tragic day. Included: King's visits to the city to march with the striking sanitation workers,; his famed "Mountaintop" speech, the manhunt for his killer, and Coretta Scott King and her children marching in Memphis days after his death.
