Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Because of her gross extravagance, Betty Taradine (Billie Burke) has been deserted by her husband. To help pay her debts she announces that he has died so she can collect on his life insurance. The only problem with that is he reappears under the name Captain Rymill (James L. Crane). On top of that, Betty has been having a flirtation with Colonel Preedy (Frank Mills), who has been convalescing at the Taradine residence. Snoopy spinster Tabitah Liptrott (Mrs. Priestly Morrison) finds out that the pretty, unchaperoned widow Taradine has two men living with her and is horribly scandalized. It takes all of Betty's charm to untangle this set of affairs. This picture was adapted from the comedy play Billeted by F. Tennyson Jesse and H.M. Harwood.
