A union organizer and the widow of a Pullman porter, Rosina Tucker was 100 years old when she narrated this documentary on the formation of the first Afro-American trade union in the United States -- the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. When she was young, she remembered how her friends and relatives would hope for a job in George Pullman's company, their only means out of grinding poverty. Through interviews with six former Pullman employees, historical footage, and still shots, the documentary creates a poignant look at this segment of the civil rights movement in the United States.
