Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Set in Czechoslovakia immediately following the end of World War II, this film chronicles the love story of Helena (Marta Vancurova), a young women who struggles to recover from her imprisonment in a concentration camp, and Paul, an enthusiastic young man with ambitions of becoming a filmmaker. One day, while walking around with his home-movie camera filming the city he lives in, Paul shoots some pictures of Helena. When he sets his sights on wooing her, it is a learning process for both of them.
