Grace Darmond stars in this average program drama. When Gabrielle, a thief (Darmond), breaks into the home of wealthy William Chatfield (Clyde Fillmore), she is caught. Although his friend John Dryden (Mahlon Hamilton) derides his efforts, Chatfield decides that instead of handing Gabrielle over to the authorities, he will turn her into a real lady. Practically overnight, the thief becomes a refined young woman who is capable of gracefully wearing extremely expensive gowns. Dryden falls for her but when he tries to seduce her, she turns him down in no uncertain terms. He leaves for the Congo and while he is away, Chatfield becomes attracted to Gabrielle. When Dryden returns and discovers this, he throws a wild party and plans to go on another African expedition. But a crook enters his home and shoots him. Gabrielle takes care of him and he really begins to learn about love and humanity. Although the ending isn't clear cut, it is assumed that Gabrielle and Dryden wind up together.
