Set in faraway Norway (although filmed in Santa Monica, CA), this one-reel melodrama from the Selig Polyscope Company featured an ancient feud between fishermen. The feud finally comes to an end when the son (Harold Lockwood) of one of the fishermen (Henry Otto) falls in love with the daughter (Mabel Van Buren) of the other. This was the second of ten melodramas to team Lockwood with veteran stage actress Van Buren.
