Silent screen stunt-man turned action star Richard Talmadge also produced this fanciful melodrama about the son of a rich lumber baron whose idle lifestyle is is endangering his health. A family doctor (Broderick O'Farrell) suggests that an actress friend impersonate a damsel-in-distress, thus awakening Dick's interest in life. Dick, however, overhears the ploy and when Nan Cosgrove (Charlotte Stevens) gets in trouble with an unscrupulous foreman (Jack Richardson), Dick at first ignores her pleas for help. Something about the case nevertheless intrigues him and he arrives just in time to save both Nan and her father (Joseph Harrington from the villain. Talmadge hailed from Munich, Germany, and his stardom ended with the changeover to sound. He continued in films, however, both as a stunt performer and as a second-unit director.
