synopsis
During one of World War 2's bloodiest Pacific battles, a group of American soldiers are taken prisoner. The Japanese do not recognize the Geneva Convention, so the prisoners are subjected to intolerable conditions while interred in a POW camp. Many of their number perish, but many others endure through sheer force of will. Nearly fifty years later, several of the camp survivors have settled in New Mexico. Their memories of their ordeal, and the strong friendships forged among the ex-POWs, is the heart of this life-affirming video.
