Synopsis by Robert Firsching
The mounting controversy over whether this notorious series used actual footage of snuff murders was given attention in the seventh episode, a documentary directed by Satoru Ogura. Concentrating primarily on proving that the special effects were just that, this film is rarely entertaining or even interesting. Most of the key sequences in five of the first six episodes (not including the tangential Za Ginipiggu 4: Manhoru No Naka No Ningyo) are covered, but the film was clearly slapped together after the fact just to defend against charges of real murder. Thus, what emerges is a slightly overdone trifle tinged with the producers' obvious panic. The series concluded the same year with Za Ginipiggu 8: Senritsu! Shinanai Otoko.
