Synopsis by Mark Deming

Two women find themselves falling for the same man -- whom neither of them have ever met -- in this modern romantic comedy. After a professional setback in New York City and a falling out with her mother, Joi (Simbi Khali) decides to move back home to Los Angeles, where she is soon sharing an apartment with her close friend Monica (Kellita Smith). One night, while surfing the web, Joi logs on to a chat site for singles, and has an intriging virtual conversation with a man calling himself Marcus (Cress Williams). Joi begins chatting with Marcus on a regular basis and finds herself falling in love with him, but it seems Monica has also been enjoying some on-line romance with a man who sounds a lot like Marcus, leading to no small amount of confusion and anger among the friends.
