The old "ant and grasshopper" motif is given another workout in this Lubin comedy. It's the tale of two brothers, one wealthy and industrious, the other lazy and impoverished. The black sheep brother and his family pay a visit to the household of his more successful sibling, who welcomes them with open arms. The guests "repay" their host's hospitality by behaving in as boorish a manner as possible. It so happens that the wealthy brother is an invalid, briefly confined to a wheelchair. Thanks to his brother's carelessness, the invalid rolls into a lake, then is accidentally "shanghaied" by a passing motorist. Assuming that the missing brother has met with a fatal accident, the black sheep takes over his sibling's household, behaving worse than ever. Only when brother dear returns from the "dead" is the indolent one put in his proper place.
