Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Originating in 2005 as a local offering on New York City's WNBC-TV, the weekly, half-hour movie review series Lyons and Bailes Reel Talk was placed into national syndication on September 29, 2007. Cohosting the series were Jeffrey Lyons, who'd been among the successors of Siskel and Ebert on the old Sneak Prevews, and British indie-film producer Alison Bailes. Interspersed with the host's critiques of the latest movies, movie trends and DVD releases were LA-based celebrity interviews conducted by Lyons' son Ben Lyons (thereby carrying on a journalist tradition established by Jeffrey's own father, show-biz columnist Leonard Lyons). In addition to the weekly telecast, the series offered an interactive website to gauge the input of viewers. Lyons and Bailes Reel Talk was distributed by NBC Universal Domestic.
