Synopsis by Mark Deming
Misty Mundae stars in this adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic vampire tale, which has been moved to the present day, given a gender switch, and fortified with a potent sexual undertow. Mina Harker is the neglected wife of pharmaceutical kingpin Jonathan Harker. Bored and sexually unsatisfied, Mina makes friends with a mysterious woman named Dracula who brings her long-repressed Sapphic desires to the surface. Mina, however, doesn't realize until it's too late that Dracula is a vampire, and her erotic contentment only draws her deeper into the bloodsucker's spell. Mina's sister, Dr. Abigail Van Helsing, soon arrives on the scene, and while she is determined to eliminate the vampire once and for all, she also has her eyes on stealing Jonathan away from her sister.
