Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Against the wishes of his wealthy family, Gordon Appleby (Jack Holt) marries dressmaker's model Maida Madison (Dorothy Dalton). Almost immediately, the couple's marriage is threatened by the lecherous overtures of Maida's former suitor Rupert Fenton (William Conklin). Gordon's weaselly brother Mortimer (Robert McKim) exacerbates the situation by suggesting that the innocent Maida has been "stepping out." But it is Gordon's formerly judgemental father Grant Appleby (Melbourne McDowell) who functions as last-minute problem solver. Love Me was photographed by John Stumar, who later worked at the same Columbia "B" unit which ground out Jack Holt's starring films of the 1930s.
