Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Documentary filmmaker Chris Billings investigates the mysterious deaths of his two adopted Crow Indian siblings, in the process confronting the painful truth that destroyed his family, and sent shockwaves of pain rippling through their entire community. A Baptist family from the upstate New York community of Little Falls, the Billings lived in a sprawling, 19th Century Victorian castle. There was more than enough room in the home to accommodate a large family, so when Bobby, Tyler, and their two biological sisters began experiencing problems in their home on the Crow Reservation in Montana, the Billings' adopted the children as their own. Seven years later, on June 26, 1978, thirteen year old Bobby and eleven year old Tyler ran away from home. The following morning, both siblings were struck and killed by a freight train. At the time, no one could understand why two children would run away from the family that so benevolently took them in during their time of need. Little did the locals know that Bobby and Tyler had discovered a dark secret about their adoptive father, a secret that would not only cost the siblings their lives, but one that would reverberate through the family for generations to follow.
