This Spanish melodrama tells the story of Magaly, an emotionally damaged, but still feisty Cuban woman who is trying to get to the Canary Islands so she can start a new life. Six years before, she had been liberated from a Spanish prison by Fernando, a whiz-kid lawyer from Madrid. Just before she leaves, Fernando shows up to say "adios". Fernando is married, but not happily so, and so his arrival is fraught with deeper connotations. Unfortunately, Magaly is not interested in renewing their love as she has discovered the joys of frequent, unrestrained lesbian sex; Magaly also carries with her, a dark, painful secret.
