Two officers in the wilds of India are in love with the same woman. She favors the one of lesser rank, so the superior officer sends him to a faraway station in the hopes that he will come down with jungle fever. He doesn't, but he does save Nadja (Margaret Gibson), a native girl, from becoming a human sacrifice, and she devotes herself to him completely. The girl he left behind is one of a party that heads into the jungle, and when she is thrown from her horse, Nadja saves her. Nadja brings the girl back to camp, where she is reunited with the young officer. Nadja, realizing that the officer will never be hers, goes off into the jungle and is killed by a leopard.
