Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Low-budget Western star Neal Hart both directed and starred in this minor Western produced by William Steiner. King Calhoun (Hart) takes over a ranch after its owner has been killed by a gang of rustlers. The owner's son, Fred, is ambushed and left to die. Before he expires, however, Fred makes Calhoun promise to marry Maisie Lee, an orphan. But instead of romancing Maisie Lee, Calhoun goes in search of the leader of the rustlers. That despicable individual turns out to be Ben Snaith, a respected rancher who uses the alias of Lefty when committing his dirty deeds. According to some reports, the role of Fred, the ambushed rancher, was played by Fred Burnworth, the film's editor. The rest of the cast, sadly, has been lost to history.
