Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Although this picture used Robert W. Service's poem as a starting point, about the only things it has in common with its inspiration are the title and the location. Easterner Morgan Kleath (Edward Earle) is trying to start a paper in the wilds of the Yukon. He is in love with Goldie (Nancy Deever), the daughter of dance hall owner, Tim Meadows (Joseph Smiley). Kleath's enemies force him into a situation where he's stranded in a cabin with Goldie all night while they rob her father's safe. Then they put the blame for the robbery on him, knowing that he won't risk drawing Goldie into a scandal. But Goldie confesses that she and Kleath spent the night together (in the rigidly moral 1920s this was a Big Deal), and all ends happily.
