Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
People are not who they claim to be in this confusing silent mystery comedy from Selznick Pictures. During yet another of his famous parties, Somerset Carroll (Eugene O'Brien) is approached by a young girl (Martha Mansfield), who claims to be pursued by the police and asks for protection. She later reveals herself to be Helen Rogers, hired by some of his guests to play a trick on him. Carroll, in turn, proves to be a gentleman thief known as "The Magnet," the real Carroll being held prisoner in his own home. When Carroll manages to escape and alert the police, Helen, who has fallen in love with "The Magnet," helps him elude his captors. Nita Naldi, one of the last great silent vamps, appeared as one of the guests.
