Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Bert Lytell stars in this delightful crook comedy. Because Rachel Stetherill (Edythe Chapman) disapproves of her daughter's choice for a husband, she disowns her. When the young woman dies, Rachel refuses to help her little boy, who is adopted by bank burglar "English Harry" Ashe. The boy grows up as Robert Ashe (Lytell) and becomes a safecracker renowned for his delicate hands and touch. Meanwhile, lawyer Justin Haddon (Frank Elliott) is trying to locate Robert, but without much enthusiasm -- if found, Robert will inherit his grandmother's estate; if he is not located, Rachel's ward, Enid Camden (Ora Carew), will get it...and Haddon intends to marry Enid. But Robert meets Enid and falls for her, too. Haddon, suspecting that Robert is a thief, invites him to Rachel's home, expecting him to steal her pearls. He doesn't fall into the trap, and Rachel, after noting the resemblance between him and her hated son-in-law, realizes that he is her grandson. When his past is revealed, he agrees to go to jail for two years to pay his debt to society, and makes plans to marry Enid on his release.
